    Luckily not any time soon! Our best guess is that in about 4 billion years the Sun is going to get much, much bigger than it is now, and expand out to the orbit of the Earth. This means that the Earth will most likely be engulfed and then destroyed.

    The world will definitely NOT end in December this year! 🙂

    As Heather said somewhere else – there are plenty of other things we should be concerned about that might end human kind before this!
