    A laptop with a broadband connection? Nah, too boring! I would take my espresso machine, a pile of crime novels, and my sunglasses and hat (I’m imagining a deserted, tropical island with lovely beaches).

    Wow, I have done 100s of island trips where we have very limited space but this is the first with only 3 items allowed … I would take freshwater, fishing spear, dive mask

    Going on the deserted island theme – I’d take water, a multifunction swiss army knife and Bear Grylls to cover all the survival stuff!
