My parents were very supportive of whatever I wanted to do. That is one thing that seems a bit of a shame these days – on a reasonably regular basis I come across students whose real interest might be in mathematics or physics, but their parents want them to study something that has a more direct link with a career – such as engineering. You should go with what you love – somehow you will make it pay the bills!
