Question: Do you ever have doubts in working with space? That it may not be true?

Keywords:

  1. In science there are always doubts, but our goal is to reduce them as much as we can. We spend a lot of time figuring out how certain we are that our measurements and theories are correct. We will always quote a probability that some is true or not (to the best of our understanding).

One of the great things about science is that our theories not only try to match what is observed in the Universe, but also make predictions about what else we expect to see. That way we can keep testing them! If prediction does not come true or an effect is not seen when we thought it should be, then we either have to modify our theory or throw it out and start again.
