Our ultimate goal is to understand how planets are put together, how they evolve and how life started. By looking for other planets, we will find planetary systems at different ages and be able to compare them to Earth and the other planets in our Solar System. This in turn will help understand where we’ve come from and what will happen to the Earth over time. If we can find other life in the universe, we will hopefully understand life on Earth better too!
