Question: If we lived on a planet 10 times bigger than Earth and we came back to Earth at around 30, would we be able to defy gravity for short moments?

  1. I think what you are implying is that if you lived on a planet where gravity was stronger, that this would lead to you having bigger muscles. I think this is probably true. So when you came back, you would be stronger relative to what you would have been otherwise. I’m not sure this counts as “being able to defy gravity” though.

You could probably develop the same strength through training as well.

  2. We wouldn’t be able to defy gravity, but we would feel very light, as though we weighed next to nothing. This is basically because the gravity on a planet 10 times bigger than Earth is so much stronger. Our muscles would be used to lifting our heavy bodies around everywhere. It would be similar to walking on the Moon (from what I’ve read about that).

  3. Agree with Matthew and Simon – potentially stronger, but the laws of gravity would still apply.

  4. Would that count as high altitude training (which seems to be trendy for elite sports people)
