I’m a Scientist is like school science lessons meet the X Factor! School students choose which scientist gets a prize of $1000 to communicate their work.
Scientists and students talk on this website. They both break down barriers, have fun and learn. But only the students get to vote.
This zone is the Boron Zone. It has a range of scientists studying all different topics. Who gets the prize? YOU decide!
Yes it is. There is a technique called “quantum cryptography” that uses the principles of quantum mechanics to be able to transmit a crytographic key using photons that cannot be intercepted without the intended recipient being able to tell if there was an eavesdropper or not. This is basically due to a principle of quantum mechanics that says that you cannot ever make an exact copy of a quantum state.
If you then make a key as long as the message you have to send, and only use it once, then it is unbreakable.
