Gravity is an attractive force that acts between any two objects that have mass. If your question is “why is there gravity” I don’t think that question can be answered. The universe is what it is! It’s the only one we’ve got, and we have to take it as it comes!

Basically what Matthew said! Also, the more massive an object is, the greater it’s gravitational attraction. So the Sun has a greater gravitational “pull” than the Earth, while a black hole is greater still!
