Question: would you program a quantum mechanical computer and if you could would you consider rule such as entanglement

Keywords: ,

  1. Not sure what you are getting at here. The systems I am interested in (ultra-cold atoms) can potentially store “qubits” encoded in their electronic states – and there have been a number of suggestions of how to perform quantum logic operations on two such qubits. There have been some very rudimentary demonstrations of this – but there aren’t going to be any quantum computers for 50 years at least IMHO.

Entanglement is fundamental to the operation of quantum computers, so it would have to be included.
