I’m a Scientist is like school science lessons meet the X Factor! School students choose which scientist gets a prize of $1000 to communicate their work.
Scientists and students talk on this website. They both break down barriers, have fun and learn. But only the students get to vote.
This zone is the Boron Zone. It has a range of scientists studying all different topics. Who gets the prize? YOU decide!
While it is unlikely, it can happen. Just like you could win the lotto twice!

Yes it can, especially if you have set up equipment to “encourage” it to happen, e.g. a lightning rod. Otherwise it’s fairly unlikely, but it’s probably more likely than winning lotto twice!

Yes it happens and happens quite a lot! Particularly in areas where lighting strikes are relatively frequent. Such strikes hit man-made metallic structures including skyscrapers, communication towers and other tall buildings.
It can also happen in natural environments if there is a prominent point or metallic feature (natural rock) in the landscape.
