I don’t think it will be possible to harness them for anything much – they are too far away! Perhaps they could be used for really good gravitational slingshots if we had some closer.

I’d say that it will be beyond our abilities for a very long time, if we can harness them at all. People have talked about creating “micro-black holes” in the lab, but so far no one has come close to doing it.
