Great question! Yes, stars can grow, but only in certain circumstances. All stars will expand, but by grow, I’m assuming you mean “get heavier” as well. They all grow when they are very young, accumulating mass from the space around them. Some stars are born very close to other stars, and occasionally if they’re close enough, they will “steal” or transfer mass from smaller stars. In this way they grow bigger.
