Astrophysics is the science that tries to understand how the Universe works. It is mainly physics and maths, but also includes some chemistry, geology and even a little biology. We use telescopes, computers and lots of optics (lenses, mirrors, prisms, etc) to uncover as much as we can and then we try to figure out how it all works.
