Yes, I have spoken at several schools. I’m a part of a program called Scientists in Schools where scientists go and speak with students and sometimes do experiments relating to their expertise. This can be tricky being an astronomer, but there are a couple of neat things we can do!
I’ve also been a science mentor as part of the MyScience program, which is where we go an help primary school students design their own experiments, which they then carry out and write a report on. That is lots of fun!
And finally I’ve been to a bunch of schools to talk about the Solar System and life in the universe.
