I’m a Scientist is like school science lessons meet the X Factor! School students choose which scientist gets a prize of $1000 to communicate their work.
Scientists and students talk on this website. They both break down barriers, have fun and learn. But only the students get to vote.
This zone is the Boron Zone. It has a range of scientists studying all different topics. Who gets the prize? YOU decide!
So I presume your question comes from something I said in the chat today! What I was getting at was that I didn’t enjoy these subjects so much at school as I found them more difficult than science/maths etc – and so my marks weren’t as good. But I wish that I had spent more time on things like this because I would have learnt a lot of useful stuff. In my final two years of high school, two of my subjects were technical drawing (I think the modern term is “graphics and design” and economics. While I enjoyed them, I don’t know how useful they were for me. I also didn’t take English in my final year of high school. I wish now that I did eg English and history as I would have ended up a more rounded person.
